Criteria are selected when you create or modify a flow control. Based on the selected service class, values may be specified for both input and output criteria. Each service class has its own set of criteria, or the parameters that can be used in defining how workflow within CitiDirect is controlled.
Notes:
If a specific criteria value is not defined, the flow control applies to all criteria values. For example, if a specific currency is not defined, the flow control applies to all currencies.
Conflicting flow controls, or multiple flow controls with overlapping criteria, are not identified when Flow Maintenance parameters are set. However, if there are conflicting flow controls, an error message appears and you are prohibited from submitting a transaction or other item to Citibank, since the system does not know which flow control to use for processing.
Although a payment transaction can require multiple authorizations at multiple levels, a user can only act on a transaction once.
When multiple levels of authorization are required, a transaction first flows to the lowest level for authorization and remains at that level until the prescribed number of authorizations have been met. The transaction then passes to the next higher level, until all levels are exhausted.
