To specify settings when creating a new fixed length custom format

The following fields apply to Fixed Length formats only.  All other fields are not applicable.

  1. The Padding Character field defaults to a space. If you want to change the default, enter a character.

  2. In the Credit Currency Format field, click the drop-down arrow and select a credit currency.

  3. In the Digital Grouping Symbol field, click the drop-down arrow and select a digital grouping symbol.

  4. In the Null Value field, enter a null value.  Note:  This value will be entered in the file wherever a Null Data Element has been specified on the Element Definition Tab.

  5. In the Debit Currency Format field, click the drop-down arrow and select a debit currency.

  6. In the No. of digits in a group field, enter the number of digits.

  7. In the Record Delimiter field, click the drop-down arrow and select the record delimiter.

  8. In the Block Size field, enter a block size.

  9. In the Decimal Symbol field, click the drop-down arrow and select a decimal symbol.

  10. In the Date Format field, click the drop-down arrow and select a date format.

  11. In the Field Alignment field, click the drop-down arrow and select a field alignment.

  12. In the No. of digits after the decimal field, enter the number of digits after the decimal.

  13. In the Time Format field, click the drop-down arrow and select a time format.

  14. Click Save to save the setting criteria that you just entered.
