Transaction Detail Advice Inquiry:  Criteria Tab

The Transaction Detail Advice Inquiry returns payment details for credit and debit transactions.  Use the Criteria Tab to enter search criteria to obtain the information you need.

To specify search criteria and submit a Transaction Detail Advice Inquiry:

  1. On the CitiDirect navigation bar, click Inquiries. Click Cash Statement Inquiries and then click Transaction Detail Advice Inquiry.  The Transaction Detail Advice Inquiry summary form appears.

  2. Click the Criteria Tab.  Note:  The blue asterisks ( ** ) indicate that at least one of the fields marked must be populated to submit this inquiry.

  3. In the Branch Number field, enter the complete branch number or click the Library Look-Up button and select a branch number.  When you select the branch number from the library list, the Branch Name is automatically populated.

  4. In the Account Number field, enter the complete account number or click the Library Look-Up button and select an account number.

  5. The Entry Date and Value Date fields default to the current date.  To find information for transactions with entry or value dates that fall within a specific date range, click the drop-down arrow and select dates for the from and to fields.  If you want to find transactions with a specific entry or value date, enter the same date in both the from and to fields.

  6. The Debit/Credit field defaults to Both.  If you want to change the default, click the drop-down arrow and select Debit or Credit.

  7. The Statement Date field allows you to narrow your inquiry.  To find information for transactions with statement dates that fall within a specific date range, click the drop-down arrow and select dates for the from and to fields.  If you want to find transactions with a specific statement date, enter the same date in both fields.

  8. To submit this inquiry, you must enter criteria in the Branch Number or Account Number field, but not necessarily both.  Also, if a Statement Date is not entered then a selection must be made in the Debit/Credit field.  If you want more specific inquiry results, enter criteria in any of the following optional criteria fields:  Customer Number, Account Group, Customer Reference, Bank Reference, Currency, or Cheques.

  9. Click Submit.  The inquiry is run and the results appear on the Transaction Detail Advice Inquiry:  Summary Tab
