An amendment to an export transfer letter of credit transaction allows you to modify the terms of an export letter of credit. When defining a new amendment to an export transfer letter of credit, information is entered on five tabs. Each tab is used to enter specific data. Click the Main Tab and Shipment Tab links below for a description of the fields on those tabs. A red asterisk ( * ) indicates required fields.
Click the Main Tab to amend transaction specific information.
Click the Narrative Tab to amend or add any additional text that is to be included with the transaction. Enter information in the Narrative field, or click the Library Look-Up button to select narrative text from the Clause Text Library.
The Details Tab contains detailed information for the transaction. In the Details Layout field, click the Library Look-Up button and select a sub structure. The detail form appears at the bottom of the form. Use this tab to enter detailed information or to select details from the data pool. Note: Once items are selected from the data pool, they are no longer available to other transactions.
To add new detailed information, click New. A Details dialog box appears. Enter information for the structure.
To select details from the data pool, click Add. A Library Look Up Dialog box appears. Select details from the data pool and click OK.
To edit the details of a transaction, select the transaction and then click Edit. A Details Dialog box appears. Make any modifications to the details and then click Submit.
To delete details for the transaction, select the details and then click Delete. An Informational dialog box appears. Click Yes to delete the details.
To view the totals of all of the details entered, click Totals. A Totals Dialog box appears. Review the totals for the transaction. To print the total click Print. To return to the Details Tab, click Cancel.
The Instructions Tab includes the banking instructions for the transaction. In the Instructions field enter the instructions for the transaction. Click the Library Look-Up button if you want to add clauses.
Once all the necessary information is completed on all tabs, click Submit. The transaction proceeds to the next step as defined by your Flow Control requirements.

Click Save to save all the entered information, whether complete or not, and return to the Input/Modify Tab. A saved transaction can be viewed from the Input/Modify Tab, and it carries an "On Hold" status.
Notes:
To clear all of the fields on any of the tabs, click Clear.
To return to the summary form at any time, click Return to Summary.
