To create a Freely Negotiable Credit (FNC)

A freely negotiable credit allows you to negotiate the underlying letter of credit that has been advised by a bank other than Citibank and allows you to negotiate documents and receive payment through Citibank.  When defining a new Freely Negotiable Credit, information is entered on nine tabs.  Each tab is used to enter specific data.  Click the Main Tab, Banks Tab, Conditions Tab, Shipment Tab, Drafts Tab, and Others Tab links below for a description of the fields on those tabs.  A red asterisk ( * ) indicates required fields.

  2. Click the Banks Tab to enter bank-related information.

  3. Click the Conditions Tab to enter the terms and conditions of the transaction.

Click Save to save all the entered information, whether complete or not, and return to the Input/Modify Tab.  A saved transaction can be viewed from the Input/Modify Tab, and it carries an "Input" status.
