Direct Debit:  Nigeria

  1. On the CitiDirect navigation bar click Receivables Collections.  The Receivables Collections Summary Form appears.

  2. On the Input/Modify Tab, click New.  

  3. Click New from Full Details.   A Details Dialog box appears.

  4. In the Credit Account Number field, click the Library Look-Up button and select an account.  Click OK.

  5. In the Collection Type field, click the drop-down arrow and select Direct Debit.  Click OK and the Direct Debit Detail Form appears.  Note:  Required fields are identified by a red asterisk ( * ).

  6. Account Number and Currency are automatically populated based on your selection on the Details Dialog box.

  7. Credit Account Name is automatically populated based on Credit Account Number.

  8. In the Debit Amount field, enter the amount to debit the payers account.

  9. The Booking Date field defaults to the current date.  If you want to change the default, use the date spinner or calendar to enter a date that is later than the system-generated date.

  10. The Charges Options field defaults to Collector and cannot be changed.

  11. In the Customer Reference field, enter the reference number for this debit.

  12. In the Debit Account Number field, enter the account number that you want to debit.

  13. In the Debit Account Name field, enter the name of the payer.

  14. In the Debit Bank Code field, click the Library Look-Up button and select a bank.  Debit Bank Name and Debit Branch Name are automatically populated based on your selection in the Debit Bank Code field.

  15. In the Payment Details field, enter any additional payment details.

  16. Click Submit.  The transaction moves to the next step in the Flow Control process.

  17. –OR–

    Click Submit with Preformat to submit the direct debit instruction for validation and save the payment information as a preformat.  Both the payment and the preformat move to the next step in their respective processes as defined by Flow Control requirements.
