Balance Summary Inquiry:  Criteria Tab

The Balance Summary Inquiry retrieves a summary of all accounts in a defined branch, with their ledger and available balances.  Use the Criteria Tab to enter search criteria to obtain the information you need.

Notes:

To specify search criteria and submit a Balance Summary Inquiry:

  1. On the CitiDirect navigation bar, click Inquiries.  Click Cash Statement Inquiries and then click Balance Summary Inquiry.  The Balance Summary Inquiry summary form appears.

  2. Click the Criteria Tab.  Note:  A red asterisk ( * ) indicates a required field.  The blue asterisks ( ** ) indicate that at least one of the fields marked must be populated to submit this inquiry.

  3. In the Branch Number field, enter the branch number or click the Library Look-Up button and select a branch number.  When you select the branch number from the library list, the name field is automatically populated.

  4. In the Customer Number field, enter the customer number or click the Library Look-Up button and select a customer number.  When you select the customer number from the library list, the name field is automatically populated.

  5. In the Account Number field, enter the complete account number or click the Library Look-Up button and select an account number.

  6. In the Account Group equals field, click the Library Look-Up button and select an account group description.  Note:  Multiple account group descriptions can be selected.

  7. In the Base Currency equals field, enter the base currency or click on the Library Look-Up button and select a currency.

  8. To submit this inquiry, you must enter criteria in the Branch Number, Customer Number, Account Number or Account Group equals field in addition to the Base Currency equals field.  If you want more specific inquiry results, enter criteria in any of the following optional criteria fields: Account Currency and Activity Only equals.  Based on the type of field, a Library Look-Up button, drop-down arrow, calendar, or date spinner may be used to enter data.

  9. If you want to retrieve information for a specific date or date range, click the drop-down arrow in the Statement Date from field and select a date range.  To find information for a specific date, enter the same date in both fields. 

  10. Click Submit.  The Balance Summary Inquiry is run and the results appear on the Balance Summary Inquiry:  Balance Summary Tab.  The cash statement details appear on the Balance Summary Inquiry:  Cash Statement Tab.
