This topic relates to funding existing currency requirements, which are listed on the Purchase FX Tab. To set up currency requirements, see the topic To initiate an FX Contract.
To obtain an FX rate for manual input, contact a WorldLink® Foreign Exchange Trading Representative and then manually enter the FX Contract information as detailed below.
To access Purchase FX for Payments, click Purchase FX for Payments on the CitiDirect navigation bar. The Purchase FX for Payments Summary Form appears.
Click the Purchase FX Tab. Your existing FX currency requirements are listed.
Select the currency requirement that you want to fund. To select multiple requirements, drag down sequential lines or hold the CTRL key as you click to select individual lines that are not sequential. Note: Only currency requirements with the same WorldLink Client Number can be funded together.
Click FX Requirements. The details of the first selected currency requirement appear on the FX Rates Sub-Form.
Telephone your WorldLink trading representative. Note: You can find your WorldLink trading representative's telephone number in the WorldLink® User Manual Reference booklet.
Tell your WorldLink trading representative the payment currency, payment amount, and the account currency. He or she will give you three pieces of information:
Contract rate
Contract number
Contract value date
Click the FX Rate to enter the rate that you have obtained from the Worldlink representative. Note: CitiDirect calculates the Equivalent Amount in the account currency terms.
Click the Contract # to enter the contract number.
Click the Contract Value Date to enter the FX Contract's value date.
Click Accept. CitiDirect assigns a unique FX Contract Number for each contract.
Click Done. The contract moves to the Batch Release Req'd Tab.
Notes:
Click New Rates to get new rates on line.
Click Go to Details to view the details of the selected currency requirement.
