To add a profile to the Trade Initiator Library

  1. On the CitiDirect navigation bar, click Maintenance, and then click Library Maintenance.  The Library Maintenance Summary Form appears.  All libraries that you are entitled to are listed by service class.

  2. Select the Trade Initiator Library, and then click OK.  The Trade Initiator Summary Form appears.  Note:  To find the Trade Initiator Library quickly, click Search.

  3. Click the Input Tab, and then click New.  The Trade Initiator Detail Form appears.  Note:  A red asterisk ( * ) indicates required fields.

Select an existing library profile by clicking on a record.  The detail form appears allowing you to make any modifications to the copied data.

  1. In the Customer Base Number field, click the Library Look-Up button and select a customer for whom the Initiator Record is being set up.  Note:  The Customer Name, Branch Code and Branch Name fields are automatically populated.

  2. In the Customer Address field, enter an address if one was not populated during the customer base number selection.

  3. In the Customer Country field, click the Library Look-Up button and select a country.

  4. In the Legal Vehicle/Department Description field, enter a description for the Legal Vehicle and department combination.  The Department field is automatically populated.

  5. In the Trade Initiator Description field, describe the branch, legal vehicle, department combination which would be used by the customer in selecting an appropriate trade initiator.

  6. In the Service Type/Description field, click the Library Look-Up button.  The Search Definition Dialog box appears.  Enter search criteria and click Run Search.  Select a Service Type from the Library Look-Up dialog box and click OK.

  7. In the Servicing Branch Name field, click the click the Library Look-Up button and select a branch.  The Servicing Branch Address and Servicing Branch Country fields are automatically populated.

  8. Select Assign Applicant Reference if a reference needs to be assigned.

  9. Select Applicant can be Non-Customer to indicate whether this Trade Initiator is allowed to initiate Import Letter of Credit applications where the applicant is not themselves.

  10. Select Assign LC Reference if the Trade Initiator will use a pre-defined Citibank Letter of Credit reference number.  Note:  If selected, enter the Start, Ending and Last used Letter of Credit Reference.  The Last Letter of Credit Reference Year is automatically populated.

  11. Select Assign Amendment Reference Number if the Trade Initiator wants the Amendment Reference Number (Customer) to be automatically generated.

  12. The Last Reference Sequence and Last Reference Date are automatically populated if the Applicant Reference and/or Amendment Reference have been selected.

  13. Select Assign Drawer Reference Number to assign a drawer reference.

  14. The Last Collection Sequence and Last Collection Date fields are automatically populated on the new collection initiation.

  15. Click Submit to save and submit the library profile for validation.  The profile moves to the next step in the process as defined by Flow Control requirements.
