To initiate a new Trade Services for FI transaction

1. To access Trade Services for FI, click Trade Services for FI on the CitiDirect navigation bar.  The Trade Services for FI Summary Form appears.

2. On the Input/Modify Tab, click New.  A Selection Screen Details Dialog box appears.

3. The FI Initiator field is automatically populated with the FI description from the FI Initiator Library.  Note:  Citibank populates the FI Initiator library during activation.  If you have more than one location that issues Letters of Credit or Reimbursement Authorizations, you will be able to indicate the location on the appropriate detail from.

4. In the Transaction Type field, click the Library Look-Up button and select a transaction type.  Note:  This list is limited to transaction types to which you are entitled.

5. In the Creation Method field, click the Library Look-Up button and select Create New, Copy Transaction, or Create from Preformat.

• If Copy Transaction is selected, a search dialog box appears listing the available transactions to copy from.

• If Create New is selected, continue to step 6.

• If Create from Preformat is selected, click the Library Look-Up button by the Preformat Code/Description field select a Preformat Code/Description from the library.  Note:  Preformats are stored in the Pre Format library.

6. In the Receiving Branch field, click the Library Look-Up button and select a bank.  Note:  The library look-up will only show banks that are capable of performing the service selected in the Transaction Type field.

7. Click OK.  The detail form for the transaction type selected appears.  Click on a transaction type below for procedures for creating a new transaction:

• FI Letter of Credit Issuance

• FI Letter of Credit Amendment

• FI Reimbursement Claim

• FI Reimbursement Authorization

• FI Reimbursement Authorization Amendment

• FI Free Form Outgoing Message
