To access Payments, click Payments on the CitiDirect navigation bar and select any links to the process tabs, such as Modify. The Payments Summary Form appears. Click New and click From Preformat. The Search Definition Dialog Box appears.

To access Payments, click Payments on the CitiDirect navigation bar and select Input From Preformat. The Payments Summary Form appears with the Search Definition Dialog Box.
Enter search criteria to locate the preformats you want to use, and click Run Search. A Library Look-Up dialog box , containing all preformats that match the search criteria, appears.
On the Library Look-Up dialog box results list, select the preformats you want to use. To select multiple preformats, drag the cursor down sequential lines or hold the CTRL key as you click to select individual lines that are not sequential. Note: There are four types of preformats that can be used as a convenience in preparing repetitive payment transactions: Predefined Beneficiary, Full - Limited Modifications, Restricted Template, and Fully Modifiable Template.
To change the Debit Account associated with the payment, click Other Options and select Edit Account Number. The Edit Account Number dialog box appears. In the Edit Account Number dialog box, click the Library Look-Up button and select the new debit account number.
Click OK. The system automatically displays key preformat information on the lower half of the Input/Modify Tab.
Entering payments using Predefined Beneficiary Preformats:
Select the preformats you want to use on the Input/Modify Tab and click Go to Details. The Payments Detail Form appears containing information for the first preformat selected.
Modify information as needed. Beneficiary fields are locked and cannot be modified.
Click Submit. The details of the next preformat selected on the Input/Modify Tab appear.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all payments are complete.
Entering payments using Full - Limited Preformats:
Enter or change the Payment Amount, Value Date, and Payment Details directly on the Input/Modify Tab. Note: When the preformat was created, one or more of these fields may have been locked.
Once all payment lines are complete, select them, and click Submit.
Note:
When using full preformats for payment entry, you can enter payment information directly on the Input/Modify Tab. This is known as the "Quick Entry" method.
Entering payments using Restricted Template Preformats:
Select the preformats you want to use on the Input/Modify Tab and click Go to Details. The Payments Detail Form appears containing information for the first preformat selected.
Modify information as needed. Beneficiary fields are locked and cannot be modified.
Click Submit. The details of the next preformat selected on the Input/Modify Tab appear.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all payments are complete.
Entering payments using Fully Modifiable Template Preformats:
Select the preformats you want to use on the Input/Modify Tab and click Go to Details. The Payments Detail Form appears containing information for the first preformat selected.
Modify the information in each field as needed.
Click Submit. The details of the next preformat selected on the Input/Modify Tab appear in the Payments Detail Form.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all payments are complete.
Notes:
All payments move to the next step in the payments process as defined by Flow Control requirements.
If server validation fails, a Warning or an Error message appears.
If your payment is not validated, the payment line remains on the Input/Modify Tab and is assigned the status of "Invalid."
Periodically, the CitiDirect system will AutoSave your input and assign a status of "Input" to payments that have not been submitted. This feature ensures that your payment is not lost if you exit the form or lose your connection prior to submitting it to Citibank.
To search for a specific transaction, slick the Search Button at the bottom of the left side of the summary form. For more information on using the Search Definition Dialog Box, click here.
To print the information on the summary form, click the Print Button at the bottom of the left side of the summary form.
