To initiate a US Disbursements service request

  1. On the CitiDirect navigation bar, click US Disbursements Services.  The US Disbursements Service Summary Form appears.

  2. Click on the Input/Modify Tab.  Note:  After clicking on the Input/Modify Tab, a message box appears to inform you about using the Check Status Inquiry before submitting your request.  To close the dialog box message, click OK.

  3. Click New.  The Service Request Detail Form appears.  Note:  A red asterisk ( * ) identifies required fields.

  4. In the Account Number field, click the Library Look-Up button and select an account.

  5. In the Service Request Type field, click the drop-down arrow and select a service.

  6. In the Single/Range field, select either Single Check or Check Range.  The corresponding sub-form appears.

  7. Click on one of the drop-down arrows below for further instructions for each specific service type request:

Add Issuance -- Check Range

  1. The Add Issuance -- Check Range subform appears.  Note: Upon opening this form, an informational message box appears.  Click OK to close this message box.  To view a check status before initiating a service request, click on the Check Status Inquiry.

  2. Click New. The Details Dialog box appears.  Note: A red asterisk ( * ) indicates a required field.

  3. In the Check Number and Check Amount field, enter the appropriate information.

  4. In the Issuance Date and Rule-Off Date fields, click the drop-down arrow and select dates from the calendar.

  5. In the Additional Data and Plan Number fields, enter any additional information to identify the transaction.

  6. In the Issued Payee Name 1, enter the name of the Payee.

  7. Click Save. The data entered populates a row on the Add Issuance Detail sub-form.

  8. Repeat steps 3 - 6 to initiate another Issuance request.

  9. Click Close to close the Details Dialog box.

  10. After all issuance requests have been added, click Submit on the Service Request Detail form.

Notes:

Add Issuance -- Single Check

  1. The Add Issuance -- Single Check subform appears.  Note: Upon opening this form, an informational message box appears.  Click OK to close this message box.  To view a check status before initiating a service request, click on the Check Status Inquiry.

  2. Click New. The Details Dialog box appears.  Note: A red asterisk ( * ) indicates a required field.

  3. In the Check Number and Check Amount field, enter the appropriate information.

  4. In the Issuance Date and Rule-Off Date fields, click the drop-down arrow and select dates from the calendar.

  5. In the Additional Data and Plan Number fields, enter any additional information to identify the transaction.

  6. In the Issued Payee Name 1, enter the name of the Payee.

  7. Click Save. The data entered populates a row on the Add Issuance Detail sub-form.

  8. Repeat steps 3 - 6 to initiate another Issuance request.

  9. Click Close to close the Details Dialog box.

  10. After all issuance requests have been added, click Submit on the Service Request Detail form.

Notes:

Stop Check -- Check Range

  1. The Stop Check -- Check Range sub-form appears.  Note: Upon opening this form, an informational message box appears.  Click OK to close this message box.  To view a check status before initiating a service request, click on the Check Status Inquiry.

  2. In the Check Range fields, enter a range of checks.  Note: The number of checks entered in the Check Range fields cannot exceed 25.

  3. Click Submit. CitiDirect transmits individual Stop Check requests for each check in the range once the transaction is authorized in CitiDirect.

Stop Check -- Single Check

  1. The Stock Check -- Single Check subform appears.  Note: Upon opening this form, an informational message box appears.  Click OK to close this message box.  To view a check status before initiating a service request, click on the Check Status Inquiry.

  2. Click New. The Details Dialog box appears.  Note: A red asterisk ( * ) indicates a required field.

  3. In the Check Number field, enter the number of the check to be stopped.  Note: This field is not available if Dup Seq Number is populated.

  4. In the Dup Seq Number field, enter the duplicate check sequence number.  Note: You are only able to provide this number when you try to attach a Stop to a particular item from the Check Status Inquiry screen.

  5. In the Check Amount, Replacement Check Number, and Payee fields, enter the appropriate information.

  6. In the Cents Compare field, select the check box if the cents amounts should be compared.

  7. In the Void field, select the check box if you want to include a Void with the Stop.  Note: The Void check box will be disabled for any account which has Auto Void support (based on the Recon Auto Void Service field for the account in the Account library).

  8. Click Save. The data entered populates a row on the Stop Check -- Single Check sub-form.

  9. Repeat steps 2 - 7 to initiate another Stop Check request.

  10. Click Close to close the Details Dialog box.

  11. After all Stop Check requests have been added, click Submit on the Service Request Detail form.

Notes:

Void Issuance

  1. The Void Issuance sub-form appears.  Note:  To view a check status before initiating a service request, click on the Check Status Inquiry.

  2. Click New. The Details Dialog box appears.  Note: A red asterisk ( * ) indicates a required field.

  3. In the Check Number field, enter the number of the check for which you want to void an issuance.  Note: This field is not available if Dup Seq Number is populated.

  4. In the Dup Seq Number field, enter the duplicate check sequence number if the Void request is for a specific issuance.  Note: You are only able to provide this number when you try to attach a Void to a particular item from the Check Status Inquiry screen.

  5. In the Stop field, select the check box to indicate a Stop.

  6. Click Save. The data entered populates a row on the Void Issuance sub-form.

  7. Repeat steps 2 - 6 to initiate another Void Issuance request.

  8. Click Close to close the Details Dialog box.

  9. After all Void Issuance requests have been added, click Submit on the Service Request Detail form.
