Domestic Funds Transfer:  Central/Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa

  1. To access Payments, click Payments on the CitiDirect navigation bar and select any link to the process tabs, such as Modify.  The Payments Summary Form appears.  Click New and select New Outgoing Payment.  The Payments Detail Form appears.  Note:  Required fields are identified by a red asterisk ( * ).

To access Payments, click Payments on the CitiDirect navigation bar and select Input New Outgoing.   The Payments Detail Form appears.  Note:  Required fields are identified by a red asterisk ( * ).

  1. The Preformat Code field should be left blank when creating a payment from Full Detail.  Note:  If you are going to Submit and Create Preformat, information is required in this field.

  2. The Debit Account Number/Currency/Name field defaults to Client Preference settings.  If you have more than one Citibank account and you want to debit a different account, click the Library Look-Up button and select another account number.  All related fields are automatically populated.

  3. In the Payment Currency/Amount fields, the currency code defaults to Client Configuration settings.  If you want to change it, click the Library Look-Up button and select a different currency code.  Enter the amount of the payment in that currency.

  4. If the Use This Currency For Next Payment checkbox is selected, the currency used in this payment will be saved as the default for the next payment entered.

  5. In the Payment Method field, click the Library Look-Up button and select Domestic Funds Transfer.

  6. In the Payment Type field, click the Library Look-Up button and select a payment type.  Fields specific to the selected payment type appear in the lower portion of the Payments Detail Form.  Note:  Based on the specified currency and the Debit Account Branch, CitiDirect automatically determines exactly which payment types are available.

  7. In the Subsidiary Identifier/Name fields, click the Library Look-Up button and select a subsidiary from the Subsidiary Identifier Library.  Note:  These fields are only available if the Subsidiary Identifier in Client Preference is set to Yes.

  8. In the Transaction Reference Number field, enter the transaction reference number.  Note:  A complete or partial Transaction Reference Number may be system-generated if specified in Client Preferences.

  9. The Confidential field is available if selected in My Preferences.  If you want to indicate that this is a confidential payment, select this check box.  Note:  Access to confidential payments is determined by your Access Profile.

  10. Click to Expand or Contract  For Cameroon, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Senegal,and Uganda:

        1. Select the Real Time Gross Settlement Payment checkbox if the payment is to be made through RTGS.

        2. The Value Date field defaults to a system-generated date.  If you want to change the default, use the date spinner or calendar to enter a date that is later than the system-generated date.  Note: The Value Date can be the same as the processing date at Citibank branch. Click here for information on Value Dates.

        3. In the Beneficiary Account Number field, enter the account number of the beneficiary.

        4. In the Beneficiary Name field, click the Library Look-Up button and select the name/address of the beneficiary.

        5. In the Beneficiary Address field, enter the address of the beneficiary.  To view all information in this field, click the multiple line button.

        6. In the Beneficiary Bank Routing Code field, click the Library Look-Up button and select a routing code.  This field is automatically populated when Beneficiary Bank Nameis filled using the library.  If the field is not filled or you want to overwrite it, enter a bank routing code.

        7. In the Beneficiary Bank Name field, click the Library Look-Up button and select a bank.  This field is automatically populated when Beneficiary Bank Routing Code is filled using the library.

        8. In the Beneficiary Bank Address field, click the Library Look-Up button and select a bank address.  This field is automatically populated when Beneficiary Bank Routing Code is filled using the library.  To view all information in this field, click the multiple line button.

        9. The Charges Indicator field defaults to Client Preference settings.  If you want to change the default, click the drop-down arrow and select Our or Beneficiary.

      1. The Value Date field defaults to a system-generated date.  If you want to change the default, use the date spinner or calendar to enter a date that is later than the system-generated date.  Note: The Value Date can be the same as the processing date at Citibank branch. Click here for information on Value Dates.

      2. In the Beneficiary Account Number field, enter the account number of the beneficiary.

      3. In the Beneficiary Name/Address field, click the Library Look-Up button and select the name and address of the beneficiary.  To view all information in this field, click the multiple line button.

      4. In the Beneficiary Bank Routing Code field, click the Library Look-Up button and select a routing method.

      5. In the Beneficiary Bank Name field, click the Library Look-Up button and select the name of the beneficiary bank.

      6. In the Beneficiary Bank Town field, enter the town name.

      7. In the Tax Payment for Consolidated Budget field, click the Library Look-Up button and select either Yes or No.   Note: This field is available only if Payment Type is Tax Payment.

      8. In the Tax Code field, select a tax code type.  Note: This field is required if Consolidated Budget is Yes. This field is available only if Payment Type is Tax Payment.

      9. In the Fiscal code of Beneficiary field, enter the beneficiary fiscal code.  Note: This field is available only if Payment Type is Tax Payment.

  1. In the Payment Details field, enter any additional details you want to include with the payment.  To view all information in this field, click the multiple line button.

  2. Click Submit to save and submit the payment for validation.  The payment moves to the next step in the payment process as defined by Flow Control requirements.

  3. –OR–

    Click Submit and Create Preformat to submit the payment for validation and save the payment information as a preformat.  Both the payment and the preformat move to the next step in their respective processes, as defined by Flow Control requirements.
